Taster Day - Saturday 1st September

Hi All,

I hope everyone is enjoying this lovely summer weather - our sausages, burgers and kebabs have certainly been flying out of Bernie's counters so I'm guessing there have been many BBQ's on the go recently!

Everything is well on the farm. We had to get the vet out last week as one of our cows was having trouble calving. However, we're pleased to report that, with a little help from the vet, two healthy calves were born. Its quite unusual for cattle to have twins so its always a nice surprise :) I will endeavour to get some photos of the new arrivals on here as soon as possible.

I wanted to let you all know about our Taster Day that we are holding on Saturday 1st September. We have a number of our local producers attending (including Marshfield Ice Cream, The Bay Tree, Katie Pearn, Chocolate Frost and Wiltshire Tea) and samples will be available of all their lovely produce. We will also have lots of samples of our own grown meat from the butchery counter.

We're hoping it will be a friendly day where our lovely customers can have the chance to taste some of the produce they have not yet tried. If this is something you think you might like then come along any time on the Saturday between 9:30am and 5:30pm.

I look forward to seeing you there :)

  4. Just wanted to say what a wonderful surprise the Taster Day was to us. We returned from our holiday and called into Three Trees to buy some bits before arriving home. As we'd been away from e-mail I wasn't aware that the taster day was happening so finding the animals outside and being treated to a free ice cream and goodies in the shop was fab. Our son loved the tractor and was thrilled to be able to sit inside and pretend to be a farmer - thank you so much, it really made his day and was the perfect round off to our holiday. Having your shop local to us has really made a world of difference. It's so nice to have some quality foods and friendly staff a few miles up the road from us rather than having to go to faceless supermarkets where the food isn't as nice and you don't feel valued at all. Thank you :)
